About Me
This has always been a tough one for me to write because I never know quite what to say. I always feel I sound great on paper, but if you ever really look deeper you will find in my regular life I am just an old soul stuck being a middle child.
I am both an engineer and an attorney, but I stepped away from those to focus on my passion, my family. I do moonlight as a college professor still though.
I have a constant thirst for knowledge. I love to read, every year I strive to read 50 books, some years I get more (this year I am breaking 100), some less, but I am constantly on the lookout for new books. If I am being honest, one of my absolute favorite things to do is talk about books. The characters, the themes, all the questions and feels. Originally I wanted to start this site as a way be able to share part of my passion with you.
When I am not reading, (or listening since these days I have really fallen for audiobooks) I like to craft. I am a novice by all measures, but that does not stop me from enjoying what I make, it’s the process, the journey, more than the outcome. If you could see my house you would find half finished knitting projects in nearly every room. Each room also contains a work of art I have completed, from paintings, to Diamond dots, to paper crafting; I love it all. I hope to share with you some of the more successful, or at least relaxing projects so that you can derive the joy I have.
Though to many I live in a flyover state, before the pandemic I really liked to travel. I have been to 45 states and 8 countries. One glorious summer I spent abroad and met my husband. Once all this progresses to the point of safety I look forward to returning to our travels. I hope you peak your interest into some of my favorite places from along the way.
Besides walking, another stress reliever for me, like most is watching television. I really get into series, so many good ones have shaped my life. This is one way my husband and I really bond. I hope to reacquaint you with some of your past loves as well.
Another way we bond as family is through food. My husband loves cooking, I love baking, our children love exploring restaurants on our travels. Food is such a central part of our lives and gatherings, we hope to share some of our loves with you.
